Rather than go for the "best of the completes", this poll will simply ask the question of "which ones did you like?", or, alternatively, "which ones do you find useful?", or even better, "which ones does your group find useful?"

Honestly, I use all of them. Complete Divine has the Favoured Soul, Radiant Servant, Holy Liberator, a bunch of nice feats (Rapid Spell, Divine Metamagic, Augment Healing), I like the ideas for the relics, etc...

Yes, it is the weakest of the books, but I still find it useful.

The rest just get devoured by my players. ;)

Cheers!

I found them all useful. I haven;t had a chance to actually use anything from C Adv yet, but it will get used. I didn't find them all great or even very creative, but they'll be used. If I pay money for a book, I'm going to use it. It is really that simple.

I guess my answer would have to be E) None of the Above. My group does not use them. I think it's mostly because they are happy playing D&D3.0 and do not wish to change, and I cannot blame them. Since they books are 3.5, none of them have bothered to look at them.

Complete Divine would be perfect for your group then. ;)

Anyway, I find all 4 useful in some way.

Like most of the previous (4 :)) posters, I found all of them useful. Sure, they all have some things I'll never use or allow in my games, but there's a fair amount of material from each which I'll use, whether in direct form or modified/tweaked.

Unfortunately, I just don't know enought about them to judge. I'm about to play a rogue-sorceror, so I should be getting a bit more use out of CA and CV. Might be able to judge better then. So far I think all four are great.

I have enjoyed all of them. So far the only two I have used extensively have been complete arcane and complete warrior but I have used a little from complete divine. I don't actually own complete adventurer (yet) but have looked and used some good things from it.

That should be an interesting combination - you certainly should get a lot of use out of CV for that combo. (Sneak attacking constructs - useful!)

Cheers!

I voted for Complete Warrior, Arcane, and Adventurer. In truth, I also own and do not regret buying Complete Divine, but I don't have unambiguously positive feelings towards it as I do its three siblings.

Every book has its missteps, though, and I think that's true for any roleplaying book, ever, although every player will have their own ideas about what consitutes a misstep. Complete Warrior has the extremely dull samurai and poor wording in the hulking hurler (I don't consider the frenzied berserker a misstep because I think they're perfectly fine for NPC foes); Complete Divine has the radiant servant of Pelor and a bit too much in the way of absolutely necessary errata. I'm sure I could pick on one or two things for Complete Arcane and Complete Adventurer, too.

On the whole, though, I think the Complete series is a good addition to the game - and certainly better than the original splatbooks.

Strangely that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement to me ;)

Although I have borrowed and read through all of them none have really grabbed me and demanded "Buy Me!". I'm considerign letting the Scout into my game but I wonder if it might be a little bit better than the Rogue - same skill points, better HD, more special abilities (one at every level no less!). True no sneak attack but with Spring Attack easily come by their skirmish ability will come into play even more often. They will also tend to have better initiative rolls than a Rogue. This seems to hold true for a lot of the new 'core' classes they have introduced.
