re

Thanks again for the map Arravis. It should work perfectly for what I am planning.

I will be attempting to write a storyhour based on this groups adventures in Myth Drannor. Keep an eye out for it if you want to see how I run their adventures in this large city.

Once again, thanks for the info. Helpful. Myth Drannor is definitely not an easy place to run a campaign, but hopefully I can pull it off.

Celtavian, I thought you might find this useful. It's an expanded treasure table that I made (which includes items from MoF and such). The items listed that I didn't make up myself (Seditious Dress being my fave of the ones I made), are items that were mentioned in the WoTC books to be in Myth Drannor. Anyway, I hope this will help as well. Oh, glad you liked the map btw :).

Myth Drannor Items:

Alchemical Perfumes: Roll on potion table

Alliance Bracers: A pair of bracers that when clashed together form into a suit of full plate +1 of nimbleness which also allows the wearer to breath water and swim at his normal movement rate.

Anyllan’s Bottle: These are small ornately carved crystal flasks with stoppers. Upon speaking a command word, the holder of the bottle is reduced to mist and flows into the vial, magically pulling the stopper closed. Once the stopper is set, the mist coalesces into a tiny simulacrum of the bottled creature. Two command words affect each bottle; one allows the creature to remain conscious and aware of its surroundings, while other places the target in a deep slumber or reverie.
A conscious occupant can clearly see and hear. Spells and item effects cannot be cast on the occupant of the bottle, and any spell effects ongoing when the occupant entered the bottle are deactivated while inside. The bottles are all protected via a permanent feather fall and shields it’s occupants as per minor globe of invulnerability with one notable exception. Anyllan’s Bottles are designed to shatter and release their occupants if contacted by a magic missile, no damage is inflicted but the crystal evaporates. The conscious occupant or agent outside the stopper can also dispel the bottle.
An unexpected side effect, elves within the bottle do not age, although this effect is not truly known.

Chameleon Silk Cape: This cape will adapt its color’s to match other clothing worn.
Dew-anklet: This simple silvery anklet, if left outdoors overnight, will gather dew from the morning mist and when worn, it’ll turn into ephemeral dew-mist drapery around the wearer (as much or as little as the owner wishes).

Corset of Holding: This cleavage pocket is an extra-dimensional space.

Dancing Slippers: +5 enhancement bonus to Perform.

Fae-Cloth: Clothing made of this material is utterly and completely weightless. It can float, be pushed along by the wind, etc. Fae-clothing is usually enchanted with up to 16 “key” points that will adhere to the body of the user.

Giiraegisir (Brooches of Guardianship): These elaborate brooches were often enchanted with deflection bonuses, dimension door, invisibility, blink, fly and other enchantments. These brooches belonged to the noble Houses or wizards.

Glow-cloth: Clothing made of this material glows slightly in darkness, different enchantments will glow in different colors.

Heart Chain: Heavy chainmail shirt +1, which is open over the heart of the wearer, but which closes when a weapon approaches.

Ivy Dress: When found this item is usually potted or in a box in stasis and it appears to be a normal plant. When removed from its container and wrapped around a limb the ivy quickly envelopes the user in the desired shape they wish. The Ivy Dress will be in the state of the current season. In Spring it has flowers and it is in full bloom. In Summer it is a lush bright green color. In Fall its leaves turn from red to golden colors. In Winter the bare branches form a tight (or loose depending on the desires of the wearer) weave for modesty.

Kurel’s Dew-Leaf: To be used, this exquisitely sculpted mithril leaf must be left out overnight to gather the morning dew. Once so charged, the dew upon it can be touched and silvery dew-water will envelop the user as clothing. The dew can take on whatever design or shape the user desires and its level of translucence can be controlled.

Mirror of Alteration: These tall silvery mirrors show an illusionary reflection. Its effects are identical to Change Self.

Passion-cloth: Clothing made of this material will change color depending on the emotional state of the wearer.

Pearl of Strength: +2 Str

Powder of Charm: When this reddish powder is applied to the face of the user, it allows the user to make a gaze attack as a standard action; the target must make a Will Save DC 14 or becomes charmed for 1 hour.

Ribbon of Beauty: +2 charisma

Seditious Dress: These semi-sentient dresses are glammered to able to change basic design at the wearer’s command. If the dress comes within 10’ of a dress that is more attractive then itself, it will cast an illusion on the “opposing” dress making it seem soiled and torn. This effect lasts for one two hours and can only be used three times in a day. If two Seditious Dresses come within 10’ of each other, both dresses will wither and rot.

Sevelor’s Brush: This brush allows the user to brush their hair into any style they wish, regardless of how gravity-defying. Additional Sevelor’s Brush is able to dye hair in any color or in a variety of colors (craft check needed to get elaborate designs). The effects of the brush last for 24 hours. This brush cannot grow hair in any way.

Sheath-Cap of Dianel: This jeweled end-cap when placed on a sheath will clean and maintain any blade placed within the sheath.

Ary’Faern’Kerym: The Artblade “Noble Sorcerer’s Sword”
+4 longsword, +2 AC deflection bonus, Dispel Magic 3/day, Detect Magic at will.

This sword appears to be a long sword forged from solid darkness, feeling as solids as stone but as slick as oil. When drawn, the Artblade crackles like lightning, when swung it emits a sharp buzzing sound similar to an angry bee, the sound can be muted at the wielder’s will. When struck against objects or weapons, the blade’s clash is utterly silent. Along the razor-sharp, beveled edge of the blade glows a crimson beam of energy that encloses the darkness.

Elfblades bond with their wielders during the blade-rite. If a wielder is accepted the blade will maintain a magical link to it’s wielder, allowing it to be summoned directly to the wielder’s hand despite and distance or physical barriers, provided both elf and blade are on the same plane. Magical protections might interfere with this ability.

The Artblade is an intelligent weapon that is neutral good, has an Int of 16 and a Cha and Wisdom of 13. It can speak telepathically or audibly in elvish. It has an ego of 20. Should the wielder ever change alignment, race or sex without the elfblade’s consent or knowledge it imposes a blade-rite test on the wielder. Alternately it can inflict random bursts of pain (1d4) upon the wielder or it can attempt to dominate the wielder.

The Artblade allows it’s wielder to cast a spell through the blade (no material components needed for most spells), somatic components are cast via slashes and verbal through the humming of the blade. Touch attacks can be delivered through the blade. If Evocation spells are cast through the blade then they act as if cast by a caster 1 level higher.

Once attuned to the wielder, the Artblade will reduce the physical age of the wielder by 1d6x100 years (no loss of mental bonuses, but physical negatives if any are removed). An elf is never reduced to less then the first year of adulthood.

Blade-Rite:
The blade-rite is invoked whenever a new wielder is chosen for an elfblade. The blade-rite is normally conducted by elven high-mages in secret rituals. The blade-heir is put through a test of talent, mind and heart. These tests occur within the mind of the tested elf, though all effects are suffered as if the tests were real; only the tested elf and the high mages are privy to the scene of the test. If the tests are passed, he rises to the station of Coronal, Arms-Major or Spell-Major as befits the elfblade.

Whenever a wielder dies, an elfblade is rendered inert and non-magical until drawn in a blade-rite or drawn at a place of power. If an elfblade is stolen, any who attempt to hold it unsheathed immediately suffer the penalties of failing the blade-rite as are any N’Tel’Quess (non-elves) that dare to wield the blade. They are struck dead (Fort save DC 17 or 4d6 hp of permanent hp damage).

Just whenever I rolled up treasure, I would use it instead of the DMG. I wanted items that were known to be in Myth Drannor or items that I thought better fit the setting. D&D items, for the most part, tend to lack flavor. I wanted something that caught the spirit of city ruled by elves.
