[FR] Dungeon of Swords (suspected Error in FRCS 3e)

Fine you believe what you want, and I'll believe what I want and what the old sourcebooks hint at but dont come right out and say. But without pagan faiths none of those gods would have shown up in D&D pantheons either. And i'm to tired to keep discussing this right now, so im going to get some sleep.

You're confusing the issue. The old pagan faiths led to those pantheons (which is an entire issue in and of itself) is a real-life reference. The in-game reference is that they've always been there, on the outer planes, for various worlds. The two are different.

Also, I'm not concerned with beliefs on how the campaign is set up, I'm concerned with issues of canonity. It's just what I like.

Last post for the night since I really need to get to sleep but actually we are debting some thing really that has no bearing on 3E realms deities now, since in 3E realms deities are no longer part of the Great Wheel. :) Unless you house rule it back in, so really we just wasted over a hour here debting over old rules that 3E changed. :) And since they are no longer part of the Great Wheel they could have come from any where, so neither of us are "right". I say they came from Earth and are now part of the realms pantheon. You decide what you want to believe where they came from, since offically now they are not part of the Great Wheel.

How sad really are we though? :)

Point well taken. :D I guess that's why we're gamer geeks.

Still...it breaks my heart something awful that they've dispensed with the whole "holistic multiverse" from 2E. :(

Now that is something I can agree with you with. :) That's why I dont use 3E's realms cosmotology. :) Now I really need to crash or im going to have keyboard head cause im going to fall asleep in my chair if I dont get to my bed.

I think YOU are confusing the issue, in this case.

He didn't say they DID come from earth, he said it was IMPLIED that they did if you read between the lines.

And indeed, the implication is there, IF you read between the lines. He is not offering "proof" of origin, because the whole thing is an implication; it makes allusions to but does not actually state either way.

Thanks, that's all I was saying all along. But it was almost 3 AM at the time that thread got started and I was over tired to really try to say what I wanted.

HEY! I FOUND IT!

:D

We can stop argueing now!

Everyone go look for a descriptor for the Sword Grotto, Tor of Swords, and Endar Aglandtor in the old stuff cause I cant find any reference here in what I have.

Aaron.

Ill dig through my books and see what I can find. :) Which seems to be nothing. I dont think it's been detailed any where.
