FR - What is a bloodfiend?

I just finished reading the Grand History of the Realm and right near the end on page 158 it says the Zulkir of Evocation is killed by his prisoner, a human/bloodfiend hybrid.

What is a bloodfiend? Its not ringing a bell for me.

Is it an actual fiend of some sort?

It's an undead demon. They're in the Fiend Folio.
