[FR]What the heck happened in Tilverton?

You know, Tilverton in Cormyr?

According to the FRCS book, this town just vanished overnight, leaving behind a shadowy crater behind.

So what happened? Anyone knows? Anyone has theories?

Personnaly I confronted the PCs with an epidemy of shadows apparently originating from the crater, thus linking it with the plane of Shadow for future adventures in the area.

What do YOU think is going on there?

I believe some one mentioned a while ago that it was mentioned in one of the novels but I'm not sure.

A Shade Prince wiped it from the face of the planet in one of the new "Archwizards" books.

The question I have, MythandLore, is why ? What exactly did the people of sleepy little Tilverton ever do to these shades? Seems like a typical old 'bad guy squishing puppies' kind of manuever to me.

You should read the book, I don't want to give away too much.
It's not a bad series.
The people of Tilverton really didn't deserve it.
I think the whole thing with the town was pretty mest up.
Let's just say, "The gig was up. No more foolin' around. Everyone knows who the Shades are and what they are doing."
Tilverton was the flash point of this.

Written by many authors, it takes place all over the Realms.
