i just remembered where i got the notion that arcane fire is unresistable. i'm reading elminster in hell and he took out alot of devils without a single one resisting him.

With his bonus to caster level checks, that's no wonder. He could use normal spells, I think, and still blast'em all.

But Arcane Fire ignores SR. Otherwise, the ability would not be such a great thing after all.

That is a good book, by the way.

Also, I think that the arcane fire should by all means bypass SR because I believe that is what the designers intended for it to do.
