Freaks and Geeks was the most accurate and entertaining depiction of the life of geeks ever. The guys all played D&D and were true geeks, and while jeered by their school peers, they're good guys, doing their best to lead happy lives.
Unfortunately the show only lasted about a dozen episodes. You can still catch it on cable sometimes, but it's nearly impossible to see all of the episodes.
The producers are trying to get Sony to release a DVD of the episodes, but Sony isn't convinced there's a large enough audience for it. As such the producers themselves have created an online petition on the Freaks and Geeks site. Unlike some online petitions that never get anywhere, the producers seem to be pretty confident that with enough support the DVD can be released.
