Before Gen Con we had a preview on the forthcoming 5E powered Esper Genesis heroic sci-fi RPG from Alligator Alley Entertainment, you can read that article here. Alligator Alley recently released a free 160 page Esper Genesis Basic Rules which you can download from DriveThruRPG. These rules provide everything you need to begin an Esper Genesis campaign for characters levels 1 to 10, until the official release of the Esper Genesis Core Manual. In addition to news of the free Basic Rules, the Alligator crew have also supplied us some more preview artwork.
The Basic Rules download comes with the following:
· The Esper Genesis Basic Rules PDF – This 160 page PDF provides the tools to create and run a 5th Edition sci-fi campaign, including new alien races, character classes, and introductory starship mechanics.
· Core Manual Art Preview Pack – This additional PDF provides a preview of some of the artwork set to appear in the upcoming Esper Genesis Core Manual, the Threats Database, and the Master Technician’s Guide.
· EG Character Sheet – The official 3-page form fillable sheet for Esper Genesis.
· Galaxy Map – A 1920 x 1200 full color map of the Silrayne Arc and surrounding planets.
If you missed out on the Kickstarter you can still make late pledges and pre-orders through BackerKit via the game’s official website. Exclusive discounts are available on any of the core book bundle packages. In addition, any pre-orders that include the physical core book bundle will also receive the PDF versions for free upon product release.
Whilst we’re talking about Esper Genesis, they have a Crucible Corps Organized Play Event coming up at GameHole Con on Friday November 3rd and will also be at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia, PA in November. So if you’re at either show keep an eye out for them!
