I'm curious about the PDF release; it struck me as the last thing I would ever buy as PDF. Yeah, let's spend $60 bucks (at e23) instead of $100 and get the pleasure of printing it out myself, including the poster map, which will eat through a color ink cartridge and look absolutely *smashing* self-printed. :D

Seriously, I suppose that some might buy it as PDF for the pieces, or if they really have gone so digital that they could use it at the table as PDF. Is there anyone here who would buy this thing as PDF instead of paper?

I don't have Castle Whiterock in PDF but I do have Rappan Athuk Reloaded in PDF only. Of course I only bought it a couple of months ago so getting a print copy would have been difficult since it is now sold out. Even still I'm happy with the PDF copy. I can print things out on a colour laser printer at work if I want to and the search function makes things easier for me as well.

I have the pdf and I absolutely love the product. If you game 100% online, I don't want something that's in print form. I want a pdf that I can use online and copy and paste as required. No need for printing. I think the pdf is probably for those of us that want this.

If you're going to do the 'over the table' route, then, yes, I'd stick with a hardcopy. Printing costs on those pages you need to print are probably going to make up the difference in overall cost.

Still, for me, the pdf is great. I love Castle Whiterock. Whether I'll get to play it one day is debatable, particularly in PbP, but who knows - I've done crazy things before!

That would be me.

With the exception of the Paizo's Pathfinder Adventures (and the only reason I ordered these is because you get the hardcopy AND the PDF) I dont buy hard copy adventures anymore. If your adventure product is hard copy only, you've lost a sale. Simple as that.

I USE adventures as a utility not as literature. I want to be able to write on them, make changes, read them piecemeal, print out pictures of the monsters and or NPC's, print out the hand outs so that I can give something to my players. PDF's allow me to do all of that. I have access to several mid to high quality printers (some of which are in my home) so printing things out for use is not an issue for me.

Also there is a space concern, I have almost a Terrabyte of storage space on my Mac Pro, and that's just one of my 4 computers. Not including the 2 external Hard drives and various DVD media options. So honestly I'm not that worried about loing my digital copies.

Yeah, for me it's PDF or bust.
