Just Picked up Grim Tales from my local store (who had it in stock)...and it's fricking AWESOME.

This PDF is cool, as well...but the best part?

In the Excel calculator, I entered in an encounter for 4 5th level PCs. First I added 8 CR2 goblins. Difficulty level? Difficult. Then I added two CR6 Ogres. Difficulty level? PHYRRIC. I laughed out loud at that one.

Cause I misspelled pyrrhic? Say it ain't so.

I love that the spreadsheet can handle ANY mix of creatures. You can't do that with just the info the DMG gives you (unless you like pitting the lives of your PCs against guesstimation).

I am also very gratified that some of you are finally picking up Grim Tales. It's much appreciated.

Grim Tales had been on my "when I win the lottery" list, but I found it at 50% off at a clearance sale at a LGS, so I could not pass that up.

It's good, can't wait to play w/ the PDF.
