Free Mass Combat Program

Hello all!

The Farland Campaign is proud to announce a gift to the roleplaying community, if we may be so bold.

In corroboration with Janik of DM Genie, who did all the programming, we made a program to run the Farland SRD D20 Mass Combat system for resolving large scale battles.

That is exactly what it's for, and it is how I use it myself. I roleplay fights and parts of the battle for the PCs and then we determine who wins.

I know the usual mass combat viewpoint: let whatever side win that would forward your storyline as DM, but that doesn't seem right. I believe in never railroading PCs, and letting them role the D20 for the side they are allied with gives them the impression of really being involved with the outcome of the battle.
