Hey everyone,

I just made several major updates to my spell card application: Perram's Spellbook!
http://thegm.org/

Updates include:

  • Custom Card Backgrounds - Now your cards don't have to look like the rest of the players' cards! I've added a choice of 7 backgrounds, 2 original backgrounds and a background for each of the 5 Pathfinder Society Factions!
  • New Playing Card Size: 2.5" x 3.5", exact same size as American trading cards. Now you can print your cards out and use them with your favorite card protectors!
  • Easier to read font and various bug fixes!
I'm also looking for more suggestions on all features, especially ideas for new card backgrounds!

And as always, this is a Fan Creation for fan use, 100% free.

Hey everyone,

I just made several major updates to my spell card application: Perram's Spellbook!
theGM.org - Home to Perram's Spellbook[...]

Many thanks.

I'd like to propose a few ideas:
- between initial and final page, you may want to insert simple list of cards to be generated, alphabetically ordered, with checkboxes (checked by default) - unchecking the checkbox would allow to remove the spell from the list thus allowing players to limit cards to those they actually need
- add the option to export the list (delimited by semicolons, following the format of <book name>::<spell name>;)
- add the option to import (from text area) the list (unrecognized items are skipped)

Between these three options you would allow people to work with their spell books, and afterwards, to update their spell card collections without rebuilding large pages (which in turn may hog down your server/page transfer limit).

Thanks for the ideas!

Actually, there is an option to choose individual spells before they are generated. Its turned off by default and is near the bottom of the menu. I've been considering making it 'on' by default, however.

Exporting the spells is the next feature I'm working on. I'm hoping to allow you to actually download and save a file that you could later upload.

I've moved the 'select individual spells' option to the top of the page, and it is now on by default.

For now I'm opting to not have all the spells selected by default... because I'm not sure that would be useful for the majority of classes that have limited spell lists.
