&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Inspired recently by this thread, I just started playing this superhero game again (I first bought it early last year). Oh man, does it still rock!

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp The story is set in 1962 (using all-new superheroes, not established ones like from DC or Marvel), and it purposely has that 1960's Silver Age campy feel to it. From what I hear, though, there are several sequels planned, each one covering a different era in comic books along with each era's mood and feel.

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp In any case, don't forget to download and install the latest patch (v1.2 patch).

Where did you hear that? Would be REALLY great if this info was true. Sad that this superb game got so little attention in the magzines and on most websites.

I hope Irrational [the developer] considers to develop a game editor similar in user-friendlieness to the Neverwinter Nights editor, better multiplayer modes and/or perhaps a random campaign [the official campaign gets a bit boring after finishing it twice].

FOR FREEDOM!

If the game is caught on (i.e., making profit for the developers) we may see a new version of the game, more improved and expanded features.

Hmm. I think I'll pick one up myself.

This game was a TON of fun.
I didn't get into it as much as I could have after beating it, though I did make some LEGO men superteams with downloaded skins.

My daughter had a ball too, making superheroines and flying around the city.

LOTS of fun...

regarding Freedom force

the Creators always planned to make additional games set in other supers era's. i spent many months following this game through development prior to release and the creators stated several times on thier forums that this was thier intent.

This game was a lot of fun, but very easy if you customize your own heroes.

I've found if you make a hero with a Speed of 10 and a very powerful area of effect (blast) power that has a large range and deals radioactive damage, you can take out just about anything.

Combine this with a guy with high Speed and Strength will all the melee abilities and you can beat the opposition silly with uprooted lamposts and trees.

Well, I've yet to see a game that's minmax-proof.
Are you a Champions player? ;)

I created "El Cito" for the game - a red-suit-wearing, Speed 10 fighting devil, with vamped-up non-fatiguing fist fusillade, claws, and regeneration, and jumping ability.

Yes, I'm an X-Men Fanboy - except that my hero is Latino, instead of Canadian. :)

I could pretty much leave the other 3 teammates at the starting gate, and run off with him to take out the opposition. Even giving my punches maximum effort, and doing 80 points of damage with my punches, he didn't need much energy. His only real problem was the inability to take a real punch without being knocked to kingdom come, and then having to heal up.

He does the voice of Deja Vu (the multiplicity villain) and the sniveling lackey to the evil alien commander who we see in the cut scenes.

I don't have any inside info, but I believe that either more games or an expansion is being worked on.
