Maybe you guys could help me out with this issue.
In our last game session, party fought a demon with a paralytic gaze as a supernatural ability. The cleric had freedom of movement on.
The spell says: This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, or web.
Since the demon's paralytic gaze was supernatural and not a spell-like ability, was it right that freedom of movement provided no protection? Does freedom of movement only protect against magic/spell-like abilities? Thanks.
