The deities are already created, we want the PrC's to be built around them, not vice versa. The four Gods to be covered in the first book are Jute: the Lifegiver, Demar: Lord of the Sea, Voran: the Seedplanter, and Vyhan: the Minstrel.
We have available a separate pdf that lists all 46 of the deities in the Adosian pantheon. It's available from RPGNow for $1 plus a coupon good for $1 off another Tangent Games product. However, for those on the En World message boards I'm including a brief description for the 4 Gods to be covered in the first book:
Jute, the Lifegiver
Goddess of Life and Creation
Alignment: Lawful Good
Symbol: A 4-pointed star.
Favored Weapon: None
Focus: Anything alive.
Domains: Animal, Craft, Earth, Family, Good, Plant, Renewal, Water.
Holy Days: First Day, Festival of Life.
Places of Worship: Organized services are held in churches or temples. Can be worshipped in any location with abundant life.
Many people will send prayers to Jute, even if they worship other gods, praying to her for good harvests and healthy children. Most midwifes are devoted followers of Jute and will make offerings to Her before delivering a child. To the faithful all life is sacred, and the killing of another person, animal, or plant should be avoided at all costs as each life lost pains Jute. The more devoted believe Jute’s strength is drawn from life and that as more creatures are killed she is weakened. Clerics and paladins of Jute favor combat and weapons that deal subdual damage.
Voran, the Seedplanter
God of Fertility
Alignment: Neutral
Symbol: An Acorn
Favored Weapon: None
Focus: Any type of seed.
Domains: Animal, Earth, Elf, Moon, Plant
Holy Days: Field Day, planting festivals.
Places of Worship: Organized services are typically only held at planting time and are always held in fields. Most worship areas are small shrines erected in fields, or in homes.
Druids are the primary worshippers of Voran, often performing ceremonies to Him to ensure bountiful harvests. Men and women who wish to conceive and bear healthy children worship Voran. Many farmers and growers of crops will also worship Voran, making offerings to grant them fertile fields and bountiful harvests.
Demar, Lord of the Sea
God of the Seas
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Symbol: A nautilus
Favored Weapon: Shortspear
Focus: A shell from a clam or oyster.
Domains: Chaos, Ocean, Storm, Travel, Water
Holy Days: Harbor Day
Places of Worship: Organized services are held in natural amphitheaters on the coast, usually as the tide is rising or falling. Larger, wealthier churches have built temples inland with large pools of seawater.
Demar’s followers are usually a superstitious folk doing anything to minimize what Demar may perceive as a slight. Coastal cities and those who earn a living from the sea take Demar’s mood in stride, but also try to keep him happy. It is considered a custom by sailors preparing to set sail to toss a copper coin into the water prior to embarking, a payment to Demar for a safe voyage. Many clerics and prophets believe that when the time is right Demar will flood the world making all of Ados come under his domain.
Vyhan, the Minstrel
Goddess of Music
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Symbol: Swan headed lyre.
Favored Weapon: Dagger
Focus: Rose petals
Domains: Chaos, Charm, Travel.
Holy Days: Minstrel’s Eve
Places of Worship: There are few organized services held to Vyhan, though most taverns will have a small shrine dedicated to her.
Bards and those who love music and entertainment worship Vyhan. They gain inspiration from Her and many bards tell the tale of how Vyhan was deified by Jute. Her followers care little about the goings on in the wider world and pursue lives dedicated to music and entertaining others.
