Description:

Jason Voorhees. The quintessential mass murderer for the 20th century, Jason's psychotic, hockey-masked persona has slowly evolved from crazy killer to an unstoppable cyborg. In this universe, Jason is real. And he's out for blood.

Jason's racked up more murders than any serial killer in history. His attacks have slowly lost their rhyme or reason, as what little is left of his mind rots to mush. Silent, invincible, unstoppable - Jason has finally garnered enough attention that humanity decides to fight back.

But no mere mortal can take Jason on alone. Teenagers, psychics, cops, FBI agents, androids - all have tried and failed to destroy Jason. The PCs have but one goal - stop Jason before he stops them.

Friday the 13th: Resurrection is a supplement for D20 Modern that contains 2 new races, 11 new occupations, six new feats, new psionic powers, new EX-Grunt equipment from Jason X, 6 new advanced classes (including bounty hunter, FBI agent, and psychokineticist), madness and space travel rules, and 9 new monsters.

Any chance of seeing some stuff from Nightmare on Elm St?
I had originally planned to do a Jason vs. Freddy supplement but Jason's too damn cool to pass up. Freddy's a lot harder to explain (his dream powers are all over the map), but I do have some notes about him. I may do it at some point.

Talien, love the new Jason book. Having recently seen Jason X and Freddy vs Jason (and bought the novel), I dove into it eagerly.

For the most part, the product is a great one, but some things require a bit of clarification, IMHO.

Virtually all of the stats for Jason list him as being a Tough Hero, but none seem to give how many levels in that class he has. It can be gathered, from his hit dice listing, but a numerical rating there would be more helpful.

Also, perhaps the most major part that requires changing (if not removing it altogether) is Darksoldier's work on Jason. Don't get me wrong, I read it way back when he posted it here. I loved it then, and I love it now, but compared to the rest of the material you've given us here, its redundant (not to mention its CR says 11, when it should be 21).

Having the Epic Undead version seems contradictory when compared to your Undead version listed just prior, since they're supposed to be the same Jason. Likewise, the description listed there flat-out denies both Freddy vs Jason and Jason X. The bottom line is that this Jason just isnt compatible with the rest of the material you wrote (and, by extension, neither are the corpse template nor the Slasher PrC). In my opinion, they shouldn't have been added in the first place.

Also, most of the versions of Jason you post seem to have a few bonus hit points...where are those coming from, just out of curiosity?

Finally, in a few places you seem to be trying to mix all the "versions" of Jason that we know of...such as the one from Jason X. The result though, it rather confusing, and seems to come across as a convoluted mish-mash of character-types. My advice would be to trim some of these down, mostly by getting rid of the Jason Goes to Hell material from the Jason X version of Jason. Btw, the Jason that had the cybernetic enhancements added to him is called Uber-Jason. Seriously. Its in the credits for Jason X.

I'll add more as I look the document over more.

Easy enough to fix.

I disagree. I don't mind different interpretations of Jason, although perhaps I should make that more clear so that it's obvious that they're different versions of Jason. I like what DarkSoldier did with the concept, including the template and advanced class. The CR is just an error.

I'm a big believer in presenting options -- not everyone will agree with my version of Jason. Others might like DS' and that's fine with me.

I believe that's from the Tough Hero special abilities.

As a completist, I refuse to leave anything out. In fact, you'll notice that the flying undead head of Pamela Voorhees is actually from the Friday the 13th computer game. Far be it from me to remove the different versions. Heck -- Jason IS a confusing, convoluted mish-mash of characters.

For ease of reference, I prefer cybernetic Jason -- although "Uber-Jason" does make me laugh. :)

I'm still in high speed mode writing for Privateer and I've just gotten clearance to add a huge timeline to my upcoming Ghostbusters game, so I will get to these updates maybe this weekend.

As always, thanks for the feedback. We may not always agree, but I appreciate all your comments and the fact you actually read through the whole thing. :)
