Hi all,
One of the big differences I have noticed in D&D 3.5 products is a shift in emphasis from prestiege classes to new base classes. In some cases, the same character concept has been dealt with in both forms (True Necromancer / Dread Necromancer, Spellsword / Duskblade, and so on).
While I support this move (more options are always good), I am curious: have WotC staffers ever gone on the record as to why the design philosophy has changed?
