From Stone to Steel: The OTHER Arms and Equipment guide?

Wow, this sounds like a great book! I was almost sold, until I went and saw the price. Forty dollars retail? That's quite a bit pricey IMO. If it had been twenty I would have bought it just now. Even thirty I would have bought it (though I don't really have that much to spend, seeing as how I'm between jobs). Forty though I just can't afford, even if it is a great book.

So some questions, if anyone has it yet. What's the page count? How about margins and spacings? For forty dollars, there better not be margins. :p

I don't mean to come off like a jerk, and sorry if I did, but I can afford maybe twenty dollars a month on role-playing materials, so I want to make sure I'd be getting my money's worth if I bought it.

It's a little over 350 pages. It's a big, massive book. The margins and spacing are not excessive, about average for a game book. They aren't selling a lot of white space, if that's why you're asking.

That definitely makes it a lot more palatable. I'll have to put in an order as soon as possible then... I wasn't lying when I said this sounds like a great book.

I'd say that if you're concerned about how much wasted white space a book has, you should try to find a copy of the book to look at first, or see if MonkeyGod posts a sample online. What people consider wasted white space is very subjective. What I find tolerable may be more than what is tolerable to you.
