upon looking this up in the book...

Well, the (very short) bit on page 21 doesn't list game effects of a crevasse (though a good DM would probably figure them out; plus in a realistic world each crevasse would be rather different anyway). The terrain card is actually more useful in that regard.

Frost and Fur, on the other hand, gives relavent search/spot DCs, Reflex DC, etc.

Actually, I've found a better reference on page 12 of Frostburn. :) Search checks, Survival checks to locate (if hidden), Reflex DC etc are all given.

Cheers!

Crap. Looks like another $70 bucks I'm wanting to spend. Thanks for the reviews.

Sorry about that. :D

I've just been writing my formal review of Frostburn - ye gods, it's at 3500 words! Partly that's because I've been describing what's in the book, but partly it's because I rather like the book...

Cheers!

Absolutely fantastic artwork. :) (With the exception of Dennis Crabapple McClain). The picture on page 23 is the best bit of D&D artwork for this edition.

My review for the 3rdedition.org ended up at just under 4000 words. Although much of it is description of the contents, I managed to fit in a few comments here and there. ;) Hopefully they'll publish it shortly.

Cheers!

Ah, the dreaded word spillage eh? It's scary when you're doing a review and see that you're on page four ain't it?

Scarier when you're on page one with a blank screen and a review you have to complete today. ;)

Cheers!
