Fun Bard Build

I've always tried to have fun with my characters, and I've always thought about running a bard that's basically one of Sir Robin's Minstrels. Cliche, I know, but still fun. Our DM is doing a 30 point buy for the game and I need some help. I'm really not good with point buy characters (I SUCK judging the buys) and I've never played a bard. Can you help?

However any other builds will also be appreciated. And sorry for not clarifying, but this is going to be a long campaign, ending up high level, and starting at 2. Sorry for that

What kind of shtick do you want this guy to have? As in, what do you envision him doing?
