Fun with Magic - Haste, Slow and Dispel Magic

Consider it that a spell does not create other spells, but that it creates multiple, independant effects. Summon Monster is the spell that creates multiple celestial lions, but each lion is its own effect.

I agree that a spell cast on multiple creatures has to be treated as a separate spell effect on each creature. A slow versus haste, or dispel magic versus summon monster, needs to catch each individual target in its area to remove the effect.
