Man, that's funny. Thanks, Dr Awkward! In addition to the hilarious satire, it's the little details that make it so funny. I particularly love the picture of the attempt at burning hands, which includes the dragon on the driveway. Best part? The taped "X" on the ground denoting, presumably, ground zero (or the dragon's mark, perhaps) for the spell. Brilliant!

Maybe magic is just 'dying' in our world.

As a teacher I hear stories of the old days when you could control a class with a 'wand' which was referred to as a cane. Go figure. Hey the police carry similar things around. Maybe they know more than we give them credit for. Perhaps next time ask around those folks who still carry wands.
