Funny/Nice Creature Monster Manual?

Ulric

First Post
I been playing more fantasy-based RPGs lately and I got thinking.

There are plenty of "monster manuals" with evil, sick, aggressive creatures (and don't get me wrong--I love them all), but I also like to add funny, odd, helpful creatures and NPCs to my games.

How many manuals are there of just creatures like this?

Can anyone think of any?

If there are plenty....and I'm just oblivious, tell me about your favorite, funny/pleasant/helpful/clever creature books or "monster manuals".

P.S. Oh, and if there aren't any books like this, SOMEONE SHOULD WRITE ONE.

There is one from the Wanderer's Guild, a free pdf, but the website is currently down.

Both Bastion's Faeries and Goodman's Complete Guide to Fey cover good fey as well as evil.

Funny: Portable Hole Full of Beer probably has a few.

Nice: Green Ronin's Avatar's Handbook has a variety of celestial creatures. (Sorry, it's print for 3.0 only):

Odd: If you do psionics, I always found many of the creatures in Mindscapes: Beasts of the Id (also in Hyperconscious) to be a bit bizarre:

NPCs:
Hmmm. Atlas' Uncommon character has NPCs sorted into friendly, flexible, or foe:

Mongoose's Ultimate NPCs has a variety of NPCs, as well as tables and guidelines:
(print)(PDF, which is actually more expensive...)

Another Spiderwick creature book was just released a couple of months ago, Care and Feeding of Sprites. I'm sure you'd like it if you liked the Field Guide!
