I played in a RP Game that had anthropamorphic characters. I mean, some of those creatures are cute. Some are frightening. I have a friend of mine (yes hes gay) and he does artwork of furries. He has this really cool PG 13 pcture of a furry in a leather harness.

I was like "Dude, if he was a human, my boyfriend would be in some serious trouble!"

I received a cursory education in erotic furries on a TV special about 5 months ago, and let's just say I never even dreamed that such a thing existed until that point. It honestly never even came into my mind.

I can understand pretending to be anthropomorphic animals, or simply having a love of them; God knows enough people grew up on Disney and Warner brothers enough for this to be a common fantasy. However, going any "deeper" than that quite honestly blows my tiny little mind.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. (No pun intended.)

There was a TV special on furries????????????? (Apparently this thread demands lots of punctuation.) I didn't think that was something that had TV specials done on it. Which network was it on, and what was it all about?

Tip: it's not technically bestiality if real animals (live or dead) aren't involved.

And I hate to break it to you, AB, but Warner Bros. makes both of those. :) (assuming you were commenting on my post and not a previous one)

Joshua - the TV special was on either HBO, Cinemax, or Showtime (I believe HBO - we had one of those "HBO weekends" a while back).

Furry characters come in many different levels.

The most animalistic ones are basically just talking animals; Narnia, Mr. Ed, that kind of thing.

The next level is a character who can carry things, walk, talk, etc. but are still basically animals. Redwall.

The next level is a character with a basically human body, but an animal head, and perhaps pawlike hands.

So yes, Tsadkiel, Narnian talking animals count as furries.

finding furries

There are lots of Furry comics on line and in print. Under the Lemon Tree and Kevin & Kell are my two favorites on-line. In print my top two are Shanda the Panda and Circle .

There are quite a few furry conventions too and more appearing all the time. I haven’t had a chance to go to one yet, but Midwest FurFest is nearby in Chicago and I plan to get there either this year or next year. I know that there is an overlap between furries and gamers (being one myself). Stop by the Sanguine Productions booth at Gen Con and try a demo game of Ironclaw .
