Futurama: Bender's Game

Just a heads up that the third straight-to-DVD Futurama movie is out. Of the three, it is the weirdest of them, but it is also the one that all D&D and fantasy fans should see. The plot involves Bender discovering his imagination by playing Dungeons & Dragons (Bender's first character is the delightfully named Titanius Englesmith, Fancy Man of Cornwood!), and somehow he drags the whole cast into a fantasy-themed parallel universe thingy where Leela is a centaur, Hermes is Hermaphrodite (you have to see him/her to believe him/her), Professor Farnsworth is a Gandalf-like wizard, and Fry is Frydo, a blend of Frodo and Golum, bearing a mystical d12 that he needs to destroy in the Geysers of Gygax. Definitely worth a Netflix pick or a rental even if you don't buy it.

"Good news everybody" -- sounds like fun stuff. I had been waiting for it but I didn't know it was out already, I'll have to hunt it down. :)

Just watched it tonight and I loved it. For those who watch it, make sure you also watch the featurette "D&D&F." It tells how D&D influenced Futurama and is pretty funny :)
