Future Dungeon Tiles?

Heya,

What has the popularity of the Dungeon Tiles series been like? And does anyone know if 4E will bring us new ones for settings like cities or deserts?

What has the popularity of the Dungeon Tiles series been like? And does anyone know if 4E will bring us new ones for settings like cities or deserts?

It seems to me that they are pretty popular. To me it's because the price is right. I can get high-quality tiles with good art and that will withstand a lot of wear & tear for just slightly over the cost of one of the online tiles sets. Given there is no way I could print them out at this quality, I find this a great value.

There are ones scheduled to be released at least up to the first 4E product. I see no reason they'd stop, since system isn't relevant.

In fact, on of the three things WotC is giving away for Free RPG Day is a unique dungeon tile (as well as a 4E adventure and a miniature). I think they are here for a while.

WotC lists Halls of the Giant Kings for a July 2008 release, after the transition to 4E. Sounds like they'll still be part of the game--they're successful enough that tiles are being done for STAR WARS, after all.
