Future Eberron poster maps?

haiiro

First Post
When I picked up Dungeon #113 today, I was surprised that the map of Khorvaire just duplicates the one found on p. 135 of the Eberron CS. Don't get me wrong, it's a very pretty map -- but I figured it would include more detail, like the regional mini-maps that are found throughout the world section in the book.

Does anyone know if there are plans to produce more Eberron poster maps, perhaps like the four-part mega-map of FR from Dragon?

I'd love to see that level of detail about Khorvaire all in one place -- and given the nature of the setting, having national borders and lightning rail routes on there would be very useful.

You would think so but I guess it realy comes down to amout of interest the buyers show for it (which I think we have).

I do think we will see something but it will be in more regional books.

Just picked up the Dungeon mag today myself. Specifically for the map. Boy, do I feel cheated. I really like the Eberron CS, but the lack of a fold out map irritated me. Now this. If the maps of countries on the web site were scaled the same you might be able to piece one together. I suppose that's what I'm left with.

But I'm not bitter!

Well, I was planning on going for this issue, mainly for the map, but also for the Eberron adventure. Map gripes aside, how is the adventure? Does it link well with the advneture included in the main book?

It starts out in Sharn, and includes a direct link to the adventure in the back of the CS. There's some neat Sharn info in it (like the standardized city entry on it, with population and demographics), as well as a list of what D&D minis can be used for the creatures in the module; I liked that touch.

Potential minor spoiler about the adventure:
According the adventure, a party that plays through the one in the CS should be close to 2nd level. If they play through this one next, it will probably take them right up to 3rd level. (I might not want to know that if I was playing in an Eberron campaign -- better safe than sorry!)

Do tell, I'm dying to read the adventure.

Actually I've been told the adventure isn't bad. And it is made to take up right where the intro adventure takes off from my understanding. I'm kind of handicapped because a friend is going to run it, so those are his opinions, not mine. I'll read it after I go through it.

Good luck, don't get killed, "have fun storming the castle" :D

I haven't gotten to reading the Eberron adventure yet... I'm still reading the Foundation of Flame adventure... But I think it may be somewhat controversial in format. The map, rather than being an artist-drawn map, is a cobbled bunch of miniature tiles. There's also a big chunk of space devoted to using which miniatures.... bah...

I seriously hope it doesn't become a trend, but I suppose that some people might like it.
