Fuzzy Knights Question

Okay, now here is a question for those of you who enjoy the strip.

Mossfoot,

I'm enjoying Fuzzy Knights very much, no matter what you've done with it. I think you need to take a (proverbial) page from the Penny-Arcade.com guys who meet with a huge outcry whenever they do... ANYTHING. (Either they're not talking about games enough, or they're talking about them too much, or there's not enough continuity, or there's too much. Or that the humor is too high-brow, or that it's too childish.) You'll never be able to please all of your fans no matter what you do. So just do things as they come to you, if you are pleased with it.

That being said, if you want my opinion, I would suggest that you try to strike a balance between the story arc, and "one shots". Ian, who does RPG World, manages to do this very well. (I think.) He has this very (very very ) epic story line, yet still manages to deliver "one shot" laughs effectively through out the history of his comic.

Not every episode has to be directly connected to the main Uberplot. You know, like X-Files. There was the main story of Mulder's crusade to find the truth, and Skully's journey towards seeing the "light" (as it were), and a lot of episodes were about that. But they still got down and dirty with flukemen, psychotic children, the Peacock Family, etc etc... every now and again.

So... There you go.

Have fun. :)

Oh, I always do that :D Just because I'm curious about what everyone thinks doesn't mean I'll necessarily change a damn thing ;) However just because a navagator has his course set and plotted doesn't mean he won't check and recheck the course during the entire trip :)

One of my favorite webstrips :D I have been trying to do that, trying to have something that advances the plot yet also is complete in itself. Take the Dragon strip recently, that pretty much could have stood on its own anywhere. I hope to be able to strike that right balance, much like Ian does.

Legion of Doom revisited

So what do you guys think of the Legion of Doom? The foil for the Fuzzy Knights... today's strip seemed to have a number of people smilin ;)

I loved today's strip, MF.

You're doing an excellent job of balancing story with one shot jokes (I really loved the joke about the arrow of self-slaying and the dragon). Keep up the good work! You're rising in webomic popularity... it wouldn't surprise me if you were as big as some of the "second tier" webcomics in a year (i.e something positive, angel moxie, movie comics).

Thanks :D I wonder if there's any way to judge popularity this way... I've always wondered if only a few dozen people are checking it out or not... I have no idea!
