Fuzzy Knights: Testing the new format

First Post
We, the collective hive intelligence behind Fuzzy Knights (okay, just me) have gotten the opportunity to try and improve the means in which your favorite photographic/roleplaying-related/stuffed-animal comic strip (okay, the only one) is shown.

Dungeonmaster at Kenzer is setting up a new format, which we're in the middle of tweeking. (and of course, there are new strips up and running in case you've missed out on it recently). So head on over there and check it out, and let me know what we can do to make the system more intuitive and user friendly.

As graphic heavy as the old format was, I liked it better. When i was on dial-up, I'd set it to load and walk away from about 5 minutes. Sure, it took a while, but when it finished loading, it was done. No more pages to load.
This way, on dialup, it'd be click, wait a minute or two for the kenzer page to load, read, repeat. For some reason, the kenzer pages were always slow for me.

You need a much easier way to find the very first strip.

Ive been out of the loop for so long, and I want to go back and re-read it all...

I'm hoping the webmaster will make the font for things like "Next" "Back" "Current Strip" and "Beginning" bigger and more noticeable. However, the whole thing loops, so the very first strip will always come after the very last strip (and in the thumbnails you can see the number of the strip there)

New strip up today, hot off the press...er...web? Go forth and enjoy (and if you've ever gamed with girls, you just might relate to this one ;) )

There are a lot of tweeks that will be added to make it easier to use, once the webmaster isn't working overtime every night ;)

Oh, BTW, Table Top Crusades is a new storyline, not meant to be a big overall storyarc, but a lot of RPG related fun. I'll be getting back to the LARP once I don't have a million things to do (it's very labor intensive). Once the tweeks are in place I'll have my banner redirect people to the FK Homepage instead of the current strip.

You see I saw that, what I meant was I wanna go back to #1, from years ago... When we didnt know how Ben was, who violet was, or what number target was on. From before the first Hack tournament...

Up until yesterday, the last one I read was after the F.I.G.H.T., and Hamaestra was in that ultra high security containment. Where's everything in between?

I love your comic Mossfoot (I held back some manly tears at the end of the last story), but I VASTLY preferred the old format. This one is both counter-intuitive (and I feel a bit bad saying this, but the new format is also kinda annoying).

Rassilon.

Thanks for the great comic Mossfoot. I've enjoyed every quirky episode you've put out.

I prefer the old format. The whole comic on 1 page as a single load is better than constantly clicking for each frame. Please don't make the current webpage format permanent.

Love the strip - one of the best things on the 'net.

Hate the new format. As in: it will stop me reading the strip. It is purely bad.

Here's a tip: the *less* navigation people have to do to find and read something on the 'net, the more likely it will be used. Having to click 15-20 times to read one strip is awful.

I'm concidering a kind of compromise. I'm thinking about shrinking the images to 320x480 and creating 6 panel pages (which should fit in one screen shot) which can then be advanced the same way as now. Would that work better?

The first storyline is down for now, but the LARP (where HamaEstra Escapes) can still be found. The main FK homepage

Has a link to the LARP, so you can catch up with that storyline. I'm afraid it has to go on Hiatus right now, though, because of other projects I'm working on, but there is a lot to catch up on for ya Tolan Mar ;)
