Hello all,
I have been working on developing a pulp game using the D20 system. I have created quite a fewvariant rules for the system that help to emulate a more cinematic feel that a pulp game would best be served by and the playtests have proved quite successful.
The system I am developing uses a variation on the Damage Saving Throw from Mutants & Masterminds as opposed to Hit Points, though not the same as MnM, inspired by would be the better term. It is level based though skills work differently (similar but not the same, it will allow for a character to have a quirk skill with the right feat) and has rules being developed for Dramatic editing like effects from the Adventure! Game from White Wolf.
I have hit a problem on the highway of Love though... how to handle gadgets. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a hand in developing some decent gadget rules (I hated the rules in Pulp Heroes, have not seen Forbidden Kingdoms yet). CHarges etc is just a stupid idea in some cases.
