Gen Con 2012 kicks off on Thursday and Gale Force Nine and Battlefront Miniatures will be there in force with lots of exciting new accessories, terrain and games!

Preview upcoming releases from GF9’s Battlefield in a Box range. Both Jason and Lizzie, our talented master model makers will be at the show to talk about their new terrain sets and answer your questions about their model making secrets. Be sure to check out the newest pieces in our popular range of gothic city ruins and a new series of rocky and hilly terrain pieces. We’ll also have a limited number of new terrain sets for sale at the show!

Gen Con would not be complete without our full range of officially licensed tokens and game accessories for Dungeons & Dragons. Caverns of the Underdark, our fantastic 3D Adventure Set will also be available at the show! Bring the shadowy reaches of the Underdark to your game table with these full-painted resin stalagmites, underground pools and mysterious crystals. This set is designed to work with our game mats to create an entire environment for your D&D adventures. GF9 will also have a limited number of show exclusive game mats and maps for sale at the show, be sure to get them before they are all gone!

Your decent into the depths of the earth is only just beginning. Our massive, multi-level and mysterious Underdark display table will debut at Gen Con. You’ll lose yourself exploring the twisting tunnels, inky pools and unearthly crystals of this amazing display. This is a sight not to be missed at the show! But that’s not all, lurking within these caverns is a sneak-peek of an exciting new range of officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons products!

Flames of War storms back to Gen Con with a full schedule of great demo games and tournaments in the miniatures hall. GF9 at Gen Con Day 1

The Underdark beckons! Check out GF9’s massive Dungeons & Dragons Underdark display table at our booth at Gen Con 2012. The first picture shows just how massive this table is!

Here is a close up shot of the main cavern system!​

This table took over a month to produce and is the result of countless hours of hard work from Gale Force Nine’s master model makers, Jason Buyaki and Lizzie Willick. The amount of detail is staggering. The table is packed with secrets and details. An inky black-purple river flows through the lower chambers. Eerie violet crystals illuminate the dark corners of these twisting tunnels. Obelisks mark a path through the caves to a mysterious spider arch.

This table display was inspired by GF9’s Caverns of the Underdark 3D Adventure Set, available in stores now! Many of the terrain pieces from the set are duplicated throughout the display table.

We'll have an official Press Release out soon. In the meantime, here's what's coming in the future from Gale Force Nine.

Official, full licensed miniatures based on Dungeons & Dragons. These will be high-quality resin miniatures. These miniatures will NOT be pre-painted. These miniatures are the start of our Dungeons & Dragons Collector’s Series in which we will be producing miniatures based on iconic D&D monsters and characters. These miniatures are for collectors, miniature painters and gamers alike.

The models we have on display at Gen Con 2012 are concept models, a Beholder Eye Tyrant and a Purple Worm.
