Gambling system?

I have a sorcerer who wants to spend some time gambling, so I'm looking for any interesting systems of handling gambling out there. He has some ranks in Profession(gambler), but he doesn't have a full week to make the skill check as per RAW. I was hoping for something a little more creative than that anyway. On the other side of the spectrum, I don't want to actually sit down and play simulated poker/craps with him while playing X NPC opponents, as that would get tedious.

Ideally, a card game could involve Bluff, Intimidate, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, Prof(gambler), etc. I was thinking of making a check for each hour of gambling, something along those lines.

Thanks

As I tend to gamble in my games when I'm away from my stash, My DM tends to make x amount of rolls for each hour (in game) spent gambling. He will also ask at the begining what additional skills I wish to use (mainly I use Bluff and sleight of hand to cheat, i'm kinda evil...) and after his rolls he will either tell me I lose XXX cash, gain XXX cash, or get called a cheat and a fight ensues.... Most cases this works fine. Not to long (unless your me)
