Game 600!

the Jester

Legend
So the other night we played game 600 of my campaign!

It was fantastic- they took out a long-term background villain in the campaign, a pit fiend who has been dwelling in the Stinking Pit on an island off the coast of a big continent for as long as anyone can remember...

Pcs have wanted to axe that devil since... well, ten years ago, about! :D

Does anyone else try to have collectors item double sized adventures on the '50s' and '100s'? Does anyone else even keep track of how many games they've run in their campaign?? Am I insane for doing this?

Congrats! I could only wish at doing a fraction of the gaming you have with the same group!

Now shouldn't you do a little update to that thread ;) We could all do with some nifty adventure titles :]

Awesome achievement. Shocked. Impressed. Envious. All of the above. :)

Ditto this, although not tremendously envious. Our campaigns tend to last in the 6-9 month range, which is about our attention span before we need a break from the same campaign for a while. So we never make it to session 50, much less session 100, 500 or 1,000.

So congratulations. This is an achievement that I'd guess is very rare.

In the group in which I'm a player, we don't have "collectors item" adventures on such major milestone numbers. I do keep track, though.

Our campaign has been going on since December of 1997, which is 6.9 real-life years. The in-game time has been 22.7 years. As of last night, we have played 829 sessions, and the average session length has been 10.5 hours.

No, I don't think you're insane for keeping track! :)

Wow. Just, WOW. I hope I find a group like yours or Jester's someday.

I'm jealous, envious, jealous...man, that's cool to have the same campaign going strong that long. Where I live, the average campaign I hear of lasts three months, 10-12 sessions.

Congratulations on your campaign and here's to another 600 sessions.
