I want to take 4 spell level casters, like Ranger/Paladin, and make
them into half-casters (ie, every even level they gain spells as a
Druid/Cleric). So a 20th level Ranger would cast spells as a 10th
level Druid, and a 10 Ranger/10 Druid would cast spells as a
15th level Druid. The special spell lists would stay their own, so a
Ranger would have access to more lower level spells than a pure
Druid.
This is similar to the Unearthed Arcana Prestige Ranger/Paladin/Bard,
but starting at level 1.
Smoothing out the multi-classing is the primary reason for the change.
Has anyone tried this?
