I'm glad people like the concept. I really wish that I could get a game together for this. I'm the worlds worst PbP DM so that's out of the question but in RL... That would be different.

For any who would be interested.. click Here

Ooo, now you're giving me evil ideas for a game. I've always loved spelljammer, but never though of combining it with a modern setting before.

I was thinking of who should be the invading race in such a setting. I love Mind flayers and tend to use them for everything so I want to try something different.

Beholders? They seem a bit too 'silly' for a modern game. Too cartoonish. I could use them as special encounters or something but not the main enemy.

I’m leaning towards dwarves for some reason. Dwarves always seem to get the short end of the stick and I would like to see them shine as a major baddie in a setting. Then again they just don’t seem nasty enough….

Any ideas on what would make a great slaver/conquer race?

Thanks.. But I don't know you well enought to have you call me sexy.

Slaver race: Halfling and or Gnomes. No one expects them. (even better with Kender!)

Or Faries! Have some Leshay (epic hand Book) be the head of the invasion and sprites boguns and satyr's be the foot soldiers.

How about halfling masterminds with ogre, centaur, and aaracokra soldiers, goblin engineers and artillerists (as in Labyrinth), and gnome pilots (with flying goggles and scarves blowing in the wind). Naturally the halfling overlords will also have harems of scantily clad male and female elves (it's so hard to tell the difference...), and minotaur chefs. Why minotaur chefs? I just like the image of a minotaur in a white chef's outfit, preferring brilliantly spicy food like Korean, but having to cook French-like food for the halflings.

Perhaps you could fit dwarves in by having them be the one race that the halflings were unable to conquer. That way, dwarves could show up on earth to help "la resistance", or even show up in their immense citadels at the final battle as the cavalry.

Personaly I just love the Idea of the Leshay walking out of their wooden ships in thier foppish finery the epitome of all we consider beautiful and saying "Greetings. We're here to reclaim our planet. My how are caretakers have grown. We hadn't meant for you to become sentient. Ah well It will not be the first time we had to exterminate a race we created. look at the Elves and Dwarves.. Oh wait.. You can't we killed and eat them. Muhwwawawa."

cool

sounds liek fun, though I'd throw a bit of Dragonstar in for fun.

I really like the Halfling overlord idea. It's so crazy it just might work. That way the taller a race is, the more they have to bow to the halflings, and the less of a role they play, and as a reward, they could get permanently reduced, so as to show their higher standing.

Ohhh, and jsut for the heck of it, but the fey as sort of the Illuminati, and being behidn it all, and belwo it all as shorter than the halflings!

Oooh, let the small persons reign supreme!

I like the way you think! All hail the Halfling overlords!
