Game mechanic The Ways from Wheel of Time

I have just started co DMing a homebrew pathfinder game, I was thinking of introducing the Ways from the Wheel of Time into the world and was curious if anyone has included them or if anyone has ideas for the best way to include them.

The ways had a very specific in-world connection. Are you looking for advice on on how to spin that so it fits well into Golarion, or are you looking for mechanics and a way to handle finding places, getting lost, time spent, and the dangers?
 

Looking more for the second option. In our story arc we have a hidden bad guy that is slowly spreading corruption as he is rebuilding an ancient kingdom. Thinking of either slowly corrupting the ways or having them be out of use because they have already been corrupted.
