Game Night - Chapter One [ENnie-nominated novel published free on EN World]

I've read this and loved it.

Having played in Jonny's clique it's close to the bone. :-)

I've recommended this to many of my gamer and non-gamer friends alike.

Awesome!

* Although you might personally find BADD funnier, it's not, alas, satire,

Not satire? BADD? You're not saying you think it's a genuine organisation? You telling us you've bought into the whole "official story" about it being created by some woman who thought D&D had killed her son?

You do realise that "Patricia Pulling" is an anagram for "TSR Marketing Department", right?

Bloody hell... You'll be telling us that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon next!

This is one of those books we passed around the gaming group making sure everyone has read it. It was well done and any fantasy gamer should be able to appreciate and see themselves a bit in these characters.

Thanks! That's really good to hear. And if you're reading this, please do check it out.

Those of you who've already read the first instalment might be interesting in the first stop of the blog tour I'm doing to promote the Game Night serialisation, which is being hosted by the guys at RPGGamer.org:

Blog Day I at RPGGamer.org

In it we talk about Game Night, where the idea for it came from and why I wrote it, as well as stuff about gaming, writing, and Doctor Who.

And today's the second day of the blog tour, with a stop at the blog of noted game writer Gar Hanrahan (a.k.a. Mytholder on RPG forums). Gar and I talk about Game Night, with some more thoughts on its origins and its influences, and then move onto what it's like to market a book and what I'm hoping to get out of the EN World serialisation.

You can read it all at:
