GameMastery Module Subscriptions

Although the option is not quite available yet, you will be able to combine shipping with pathfinder to cut down on costs...

If anyone has any further questions, I'll be happy to answer them here or over at our boards.

Okay, I've got one:

As a result of my Dragon & Dungeon subscriptions, I have a subscription to Pathfinder for the first 14 issues, rather than being on month-to-month. That being the case, will the option to combine shipping still be available, and will Paizo simply handle the whole thing seamlessly without me having to worry about it at all? (Beyond just choosing which to delay, of course.)

Sweet. I was going to wait and buy a bunch together to save shipping, but if you can add it to the Pathfinder subscription, I'm in!

If we subscribe to the modules, will we get them before they are in stores? (Presuming we do not ship them with Pathfinder.)

I think they will arrive at roughly the same time as they do in stores. We want to make sure that we support Game Stores and undercutting them by shipping before they get them is not so good.

(as for the Pathfinder/GameMastery Module combo subscription, our schedules have them arriving at just about the same time every month. Since we cannot guarantee that, we are soon going to be giving the option of which one to delay should their timing slip a bit).

I believe it will be seamless, but you will need to log on to choose which to delay (which would be a great time to ensure that they have been combined). Mind you, these options are not yet available, but will be well before Pathfinder is set to launch and you can always choose later. This is not my deep area of expertise though, so I am not 100% sure on the default setting. I will try to remember to check in on this topic on Monday.

Thanks. Arriving at the same time is OK, but it's very frustrating to me when I have a subscription to something, but then see it in my local store before it's in my hands.

How will that work with the pdf, though? Will we get the pdf immediately upon release (and thus guaranteeing that we'll see it before it hits stores)?

I am not 100% sure of the timing on their release, but I believe you will get them a little early.

All righty.

Has there been any further movement on submission guidelines? :D

Threadjack alert.. threadjack alert... :p

Not yet. We are still working hard to get all of the first couple products out the door while getting the final magazines in shape. Suffice to say, there are few enough hours in the day for those tasks. That said, there have been numerous discussions and things are starting to come together. We will certainly have some news at the seminar at Origins and even more at the one at GenCon.

Okay, fair enough. :heh:

And apologies for the threadjack. Truth be told, I'm in an ugly financial state right now, so I'm probably looking for submission opportunities even where they're not appropriate. :(

Very cool. I'm excited by this news.

I gotta say I've been bummed about the cancellation of my favorite magazines, and part of the reason is that I look forward to getting new gaming material in the mail each month. I simply subscribe (or re-subscribe) once a year, then with no further effort on my part I get a treat in my mailbox each month. Just ask my wife how excited I get when my magazines arrive. She makes sure I see them as soon as I walk in the door because she knows how happy it makes me. (Of course, it doesn't hurt that it's also good material).
