Bump. Quick idea might be to have an ongoing dungeon of doom. Come up with a pretty big, relatively pointless dungeon with lots of traps, monster, and treasure, and let people play pre-made characters through it. You might charge a quarter per character, so if people die, they can keep playing. At the end of the day, determine which PC did the best (by XP gained, or treasure, or time survived), and hand out a prize.

Well, it certainly could end up that way. :) One of the areas I have slated for the players in a festering pit of demons called the pit of souls. The idea there is to beat the enemy to the secret book of rituals that the bad guys want. Of course, chances are high they could get distracted...

But in reality I am hoping for some special/unusual events.
