Surely I can't be the only unemployed boards member?

And even so, you're certainly not the only unemployed gamer. Nearly half of the members of my gaming group were unemployed at one point or another over the last few months... mainly due to layoffs because of the economy.

I put down legal/law enforcement, as that was the closest I could get. Until recently, I worked in the Provincial Government, in the Police technology division.

Currently on EI, but it's one of those temporary things.

Other: I work for a non-profit. Specifically, I help low income people get, keep, or restore utility service.

If you pay your own utilities, you should know every year the federal government releases funds to the states to help people pay their heating costs. ;)

Probably not, but do allow people their pride, hm? It doesn't generally feel good to step up and say, "I can't get a job." At the moment, it is actually a kind of scary situation to be in, such that folks are probably not apt to talk much about it.

Certainly no disrespect to anyone who is on harder times than I. Most of my gaming group is likewise jobless and unhappy about it. As an aside, I think D&D is a good way to pass the time and stay engaged, and a forum to commiserate a little about life's ills.
