Games You Want to Play

I would like to play the new incarnation of Dragon Warriors as I had fond memories of the old, including playing it into the small hours of the morning during High School and doing terrible, terrible things to poor sleeping old men.
For what it's worth, I approve of some of the changes (few though there are, really) and disapprove of others.

The old books still work perfectly well (or well, at least) but, in my opinion, the layout and presentation of the new is overall superior. Very nice, actually. Oh, and the cleaned up and expanded 'adventure paths' seem to be an improvement as well.

We played this last Saturday!

I don't think it's a game for my "long-time motivation", but it was an entertaining game. We also seemed to roleplay a little more, which might be partly due to the lack of complex rules to play around with and the way the adventure was set up, and that we were only two players...
I played a Warlock, and the other player played a Mystic. We kinda made this combination the young hero and his wise mentor thing. (I do not think that would have worked this way with a third player, honestly. But maybe we would have found a different setup?)

Specifically on my mind I have a couple: Ars Magica, Barbarians of Lamuria, Dogs in the Vineyard, In a Wicked Age, Mouse Guard, Wushu, Feng Shui, Dread, Spirits of the Century, Paranoia, All Flesh Must Be Eaten, some sort of WW2 action game, Traveller.... any of that "Indie narrativist crap" as Doug puts it.

It's a shame we can't figure out a way to capitalize on this thread and get people together to actually play these games they want to play. It almost feels like a waste of virtual breath bothering to list them here... oh well.

Your wish list sounds like the last few ENWorld Chicago Gamedays (the ones I bolded I am positive have been run within the last year). Now all you have to do is take a trip out here to visit. July 18th, mark your calendar... :)

hunter

We have just started playing hunter vigil now.

I want to play

1- Mouseguard
2- Trail of cthulhu ( Perfect game indeed. )
3- Cthulhutech
4- Savage worlds - pirates of the spanish main.
5- Wraith ( i still couldnt play it . Can you believe in me ?

There are many things that I would love to play... I play very seldom, mainly being behind the screen. ;)

That being said, I would love to take a whack at the following:

Swashbucklers of the 7 Skies (great read so far!)
Savage Worlds: Rippers
Hunter (NWoD version)
...almost any Star Trek game that isn't utterly skewwed towards the military...

I knew I was forgetting some: A Song of Ice & Fire RPG, and Pendragon.

I'd like to try CthulhuTech, too, just because it sounds interesting, but I know zip about the game system.

I just picked up a dozen Warhammer 2e books, so I would love to get a game going with that.

Mage and Wraith are two of my favorite games, neither of which I have had what you can really call successful campaigns with, so I often fantasize about running those again.

I just started my 4e campaign, but I do wish I could be a player in such a game. I really need to play a deva avenger, or a shadar-kai something.

I have tinkered with my own RPG design for years. I wish that was done and I was running it. :D

I haven't played any of these games before, but would like to, someday:

- OD&D
- RQ2
- Dune
- Castle Falkenstein
- Dying Earth
- Metamophosis Alpha 1e
- Kult (1e/2e)
- Lords of Creation
- B5
- EPT

I haven't played some of these games in too long, and would like to do so again sooner vs. later:

- Ars Magica (2e/5e)
- Blue Planet
- Call of Cthulhu
- WFRP 1e
- Fading Suns
- Paranoia

Unfortunately, in addition to playing in a great AD&D campaign that doesn't seem to be putting me behind the screen again anytime soon (which is a rare "problem" for me to have, all-in-all), the group doesn't play non-D&D games, so it's not likely that I'll be able to do a full campaign of any of the above anytime soon.

Games I've never played but would love to:
- Witch Hunter
- Delta Green (though I have played CoC so maybe this doesn't count)
- Dogs in the Vineyard
- vs Monsters
- Trail of Cthulhu
- Godlike
- Classic Traveller
- Midnight

Games I played back in the aeons of time and would love to play again:
- Gamma World
- Shadowrun
- Rune Quest
- Chill
- Hârn
