Looks great.

What kind of resolution are you getting per inch? (IE how many pixels across in 1 inch?)

I have a projector set up, how ever its an older one and its running at 800x600 native so with my 30 x 40 playable surface I only get 20pixel across per inch on the table.

Its been a stretch of my photoshop skills to make maps look decent with the limited workspace.

It's starting to look suh_weet!

K+ and mad props. If you tell me you aren't getting excited about this now - I'm calling you a liar :)

It is getting there. I am trying to save money as much as I can by reusing stuff that I have collected from other projects. For instance, the wood that the projector shelf is mounted on is acutally left over pressure treated wood from my pool deck I built last year. The plywood on the left side is not even fastened. It was just a placeholder to see how I can mount the sides and how much footroom under the table was left. I will have to buy some for the cabinet.

I cancelled the projector mount order and am going to use the wire shelf with an idea that I have on mounting the projector to it using the existing projector mount holes.

I just bought some mylar from a local craft store to see how that looks. (got that from the NIU group website - thanks falcarrion!)

It will be used this Saturday as a map display, one way or another, as that is when my game night is.... so test drive on Saturday!

One complaint I have with my friend's projection setup is that we need to dim the lights significantly (so much so makes reading my char sheet difficult). How's your holding up to ambient light in the room? Seems like your shots all have the lights off (can't see details on the mini for example)

This does look really good, I will have to forward to my buddy for him to take a look at it.

It is a regular mirror. It is actually from an old medicine cabinet that we no longer used. I took the door with the mirror off and I am using it.

When you get a chance switch the mirror you have with a first surface mirror.
A first surface mirror has the reflective side on the surface instead of behind the glass. This will eliminate any ghosting that a regular mirror will cause.

Bath/shower board from home improvement stores works well for whiteboard. It's cheap and pretty easy to work with. Just be sure to tape where you're going to cut. I also used a special panel-cutting blade for the jigsaw and got smoother cuts over a standard blade. Height should be about the same as the plexi, about 1/8 inch.

The reason why the pics come out like that is my fault. I have flash set to auto and the lighting is bright. The lights are exactly the way we have them for gaming. The lumens on the projector is up to 2200, so it is bright.
