Gaming Music(Especially Castlevania)?

First Post
Anybody know where I can find good gaming music? I'm specifically looking for the Castlevania Symphony of the Night soundtrack(I hope they made an actual version of it, instead of me having to search on Kazaa). Or if anybody can direct me to a site where I could download the music for C:SotN, that'd be great! Thanx in advance!

If you're looking for online/download stuff, I can't help you. If you're asking what's good (CD-wise), then here's a partial list of what I use (these are all pretty much soundtracks):

- Brain Powerd
- Brave Fencer Musashi
- Braveheart
- Chrono Trigger
- Chrono Cross
- Conan the Barbarian, Destroyer
- Cutthroat Island
- Dracula: Nocturne in Moonlight (original name of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
- Dracula Battle
- El Hazard
- Elemental Gearbolt
- Escaflowne
- Excalibur
- Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture
- Final Fantasy 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,Tactics
- First Knight
- Grandia 1,2
- Lord of the Rings: FotR
- Lunar Silver Star Story, Eternal Blue
- Mask of Zorro
- Noir
- Ogre Battle
- Record of Lodoss War
- Suikoden 1,2,3
- Tactics Ogre
- Vagrant Story
- Waterworld
- Wild Arms 1,2,3
- Xenogears
- Xenosaga

As you can tell, I find video game (and movie) soundtracks to be rather appropriate for gaming...

Buying gamemusic CDs should be fairly easy - try out www.gamemusic.com, for example (they might have Dracula: Nocturne in Moonlight). There are many other places as well.

Thanks, I'll definitely check it out.

I also use a lot of video game and movie soundtracks IMG, I also use Star Wars, Harry Potter(it's John Williams, and it's very good), Yu-Gi-Oh(found a CD of music from the show, especially like Summon the Dragon and the Millenium Battle songs, they're instrumentals).

And thumbs up for liking the music from Fatal Fury, I thought I was the only 1.

Hey! If you’re looking for other great CDs for background music, I’m always using these…
- The Red Violin
- From Hell
- Vampire Hunter D
- Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
- Bram Stoker’ Dracula
- Interview With the Vampire
- Warcraft 3’s soundtrack
- Hannibal
- Anything by Midnight Syndicate (look them up online)
- And, like someone said, anything from Castlevania and all the Final Fantasies (especially 2 and 3).

Good luck!
As Always,
~F. Wesley Schneider

I'd like to throw in the music on the Heretic II (computer game) disk; I've never used it for game sessions but it makes good Halloween party music.
