I should have thought to look at DriveThru Fiction. It looks like BT and SR have lots of recent novellas there.Catalyst still regularly publishes both Battletech and Shadowrun fiction. Typically digitally.

Ohhh, the Warrior Trilogy perhaps?
Thats a good spot if you want to start at the clan invasion, however, Warrior trilogy is 4th succession war just before it and has many of the same characters (only younger). Id recommend starting with Warrior, or certainly circling back to it.Children of Kerensky is the book my buddy recommended to me. So I'm just kind of starting there.
Really want to get into the Battletech lore as he and I love playing the tabletop game.

Fiction, like all entrainment forms, goes through cycles. It is currently in an upcycle, especially the kind of potato chip genre fiction that RPG tie in books are good at.Why did the market disappear? I presume sales were down. That doesn't seem to be something that's likely to change anytime too soon.
I'd say a tech cycle too. Video games are on the rise, more series of all types are constantly being released for television, etc.. The space has had a lot of competition and it just needs to find its footing again.Fiction, like all entrainment forms, goes through cycles. If the media is to be believed (I know) GenZ is unplugging. It is one of the reasons why D&D has had such a surge in popularity, and it is a driving force behind BookTok. With all the swooning over Romantasy, you would think someone would be selling novels with a shirtless Drizzt on the cover...I'd say a tech cycle too.
