copyrights?

Well, i was looking at one of the exerpts from the GMd20 book, and it looks like they copied the UI from Apple's Web browser, Safari. Not that this matters or anything, but are they allowed to do that kind of thing, what with copyrights and all?

Oh, and if I have money, I think I might grab that.

Heh, I noticed that, too, and it made me quite happy, being a Mac user.

Whether it's some sort of infringement depends on whether a company can copyright/trademark GUI widgets. I'm kind of thinking they can't. I think also the fact that they're being used in a mock-up presented in a book, as opposed to a competing operating system, would mean Apple could care less even if it were an issue.
