Yep, I remember the golem, and I remember the way the PC's can beat him too. I won't post it out of respect for fellow DM's though. But there was a way.

I can't find my copy of the adventure, I'm not looking in the right pile I guess.

I don't remember how we dealt with the golem. That was...more than 15 years ago. I think perhaps we avoided it. Too bad we didn't avoid Kerzit. That was how my 10th level thief died, (though I think the DM had it out for me when he saw my character was carrying 6 magic swords around).
