First Post
Greetings Enworlders!

We have our latest offering from the Gygaxian Fantasy World series coming soon. Gary Gygax's Nation Builder should be out in early November . . . just in time for the Thanksgiving holidays! This sixth installment in the series brings a host of design material to writers, game designeres, DMs, CKs and GMs of all stripes! Its broken apart into three books covering The Land, The Community and The Society. Michael Varhola, the writer on this installment has done a masterful job of covering all the subject.

"Nation Builder's primary focus is on the political, social and economic entities that comprise states in both modern realistic and fantastic settings. Each subject is supported with an ongoing series of detailed examples and miniature case studies for the fantasy subject."

Tell Michael thanks for taking up the task. Just couldn't get organized on it. I'll send in a pre-order on Nov. 1st.

will do

Will do mythusmage. Mike has done a masterful job as well. This one shaped up nice.

It will be available with a slip sleeve that can hold all the first six volumes! That should be out about the same time.

Thanks for the good word folks.

Um... just wondering: if the book is written by Michael Varhola, why is it called "Gary Gygax's Nation Builder"?

Won't be the first time one of the Gary Gygax series hasn't been written by Gary Gygax. I believe they call it marketing.

Gary is the series editor, oversees each of the books, and none of them go to print without his approval. Putting "Gary Gygax's" before the title is no different than "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Whether he is or is not the sole author is made obvious to the reader on the front cover, so it's not as if they're trying to dupe anybody. He is very much involved with all aspects of the series.

quite a bit of difference though in saying Gary Gygax presents as opposed to Gary Gygax's. One indicates possessiveness, the other indicates a seal of approval.
