Gauging interest in a Western Inspired Game (Using True20 or M&M 2e)

Hello everyone,

For the last month or so I've been toying around with the idea of putting a GM hat on my head for the first time in about 6 years. I would like to know if anyone would be interested in playing in a "Western" inspired/themed game. This game should take up to a month or two to complete (assuming an average of 2-3 posts a week per person).

Depending on the desires of those interested, will use either True20 or Mutants and Masterminds with characters starting at Level 3 or PL 5 (80 pp).

Setting Info: The game will be set in an alternate version of the earth during the Spring of 1864 in the boom town of Hardyville, located on the banks of the Colorado River, in the Union controlled portion of the Arizona Territory (USA). Recently, a major gold deposit has been discovered in the hills above Hardyville, which has lead to the town's population current population boom.

Magic and the supernatural exists on this version of the earth, and is widely known about, however few people can be considered to be true masters of the mystic arts. Many "mystic scholars" believe that the strength of magic is diminishing; although paradoxically, reports of "supernaturally/magically empowered" men and women are steadily rising.

I have always had an affection for "Doc Holiday" type characters. I would love to play in a game like this. However, I am unsure what the True20 system is and I don't own Mutants and Masterminds.

I am interested, but I don't know this True D20, are there any links or anything for it? I do have M&M, so would prefer that system.

True20. On the Support page you could find a quick start rules PDF, the skills list, a list of feats + powers, and a write up of a few of the game's powers. The only info that is not readily available is info on character backgrounds, level defendant benefits, and gear. Luckily the level based benifits only really brakes down to 4 feats at 1st level and 1 every additional level, reputation, combat and save progressions (fast combat/good fort for warriors, slow combat/good will for adepts, and medium combat 1 good save for experts).

I did manage to find an SRD for True20, but unfortunately it's based off the original version of the ruleset which was used for the Blue Rose RPG. Since I never played Blue Rose I'm not entirely sure if those rules are 100% compatible.

ATM I'm starting to lean towards using M&M 2e, buit I'd like to see if we could get a few more interested people by the end of the weekend.
