SRD said:Ki Focus: The magic weapon serves as a channel for the wielder’s ki, allowing her to use her special ki attacks through the weapon as if they were unarmed attacks. These attacks include the monk’s stunning attack, ki strike, and quivering palm, as well as the Stunning Fist feat. Only melee weapons can have the ki focus ability.
Moderate transmutation; CL 8th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, creator must be a monk; Price +1 bonus.
Gauntlet: This metal glove lets you deal lethal damage rather than nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes. A strike with a gauntlet is otherwise considered an unarmed attack. The cost and weight given are for a single gauntlet. Medium and heavy armors (except breastplate) come with gauntlets.

If he wants to use them when attacking with the guantlets, yes. Remember, the monk does not do his monk unarmed damage when attacking with guantlets, and cannot do a flurry of blows with guantlets. Guantlets are a weapon, but are not a monk special weapon.Yair said:Does a monk using gauntlets need to have the ki-focus weapon special ability to use his stunning fist/quivering palm/other ki special abilities?
I believe you would need psionic weapon with the guantlet. It would work with ki-focus guantlets. While we are at it - does psionic fist work with gauntlets, or do you need psionic weapon? And what about ki-focus gauntlets?
