Gaxmoor Preview

DPG Darrin, Hey, thanks for the good word. I'll pass the comments about the orange spine onto Mac. He designed the cover and that was the very look and feel he was going for. The history of Erde is unique in this market, we believe, and hope you can weather the whole thing :D

Gaxmoor is coming SOON! We're really excited (a great deal of work went into this project).

Thanks again,
Steve

Yeah, I got through it. It definitely sets the stage for a very interesting campaign world. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Gaxmoore. I also like the fact that this is a very nicely filled in campaign guide. It has all kinds of crunchy stuff for players and DM's (as well as the return of the elven character class!) and it contains an adventure by my favorite adventure writer of all time. A very well rounded product!

Cheers!

Robilar: this adventure is something I could really use for my campaign (my players will likely piss off lots of druids soon).
What kind of module is this? Dungeon? Wilderness?
Could you give any hints on the level range? Its adaptability for, say, 5-7th level? Any other specifics?
Thanks in advance!

Here's the description of the original Greyhawk-based version of Dark Druids:

Dark Druids, 1976

Outdoor/Dungeon adventure. To be published by Troll Lord Games as 3E module release, January 2002. New Dark Druid prestige class; the Misbegotten (new spell and monster combo). Originally placed in the Gnarley Forest and adventured in by many original campaigners, such as Skip Williams and James Ward, whose PCs lost their lives there.

That's from the RJK Greyhawk bibliography available on the web sites of TLG, NG, Canonfire.com, and my site (which doesn't appear to be visible in my missing .sig, so here's a link: http://www.rpg.net/ehp/imrryr/gh_kuntz_bibliography.html).

DPG Darrin, thanks for the good word on the world of Erde. Though Gaxmoor is generic, it is placed on the Massif north of Maine. Gaxmoor is a huge undertaking. The DM will definately have to do a little prep work for this setting within a setting, but it is well worth the effort. Its much like a huge civil war.

Turogh, as for Dark Druids, I have the MS in hand and it is set to be 48 pages long with maps, illus and so forth. And of course, a TLG trademark, we will use the inside back and front covers.

Melan, the adventure is designed for 4-6 characters of levels 9-12. It is largely a wilderness advent, but has some dungeon crawls in it.

Hope that helps!

Troll Lord: perfect! By the time I get the module, my players will be just the right levels for the module!

[Wanders away, rubbing his hands and cackling maniacally]

LOL We are glad we can accomodate you! Rob was telling me the other day how he killed a number of characters in the original version of this, including Jim Wards! You'll be able to mount the heads of your players alongside some of the most famous fallen! :)
